Summer recipes for Welsh Beef and Lamb

Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC) - Meat Promotion Wales has developed some new Welsh Beef and Lamb recipes, just in time for summer.

HCC worked with amateur chefs to create the recipes, which will include crumbled Welsh Lamb cutlets, hot Welsh Lamb ‘superfood’ salad, Welsh Beef steak with green olive aioli and Welsh Beef tikka masala skewers. HCC hopes the recipes will help promote the versatility and healthy option of PGI Welsh Beef and Lamb.

“Our new point of sale has a light, airy feel to coincide with the season,” says Pip Gill, brand marketing officer. “The recipe leaflets contain 12 brand new recipes that require little preparation and cooking time. They are also great for cooking indoors or outside on the barbecue – what more could you ask for?”

The leaflets, which include helpful hints and suggest the best cuts of meat to use for particular recipes, will be distributed to members of the HCC Butchers’ Club over the coming weeks and will also be available at multiple retailers. Gill adds: “If you love Welsh Lamb and Welsh Beef, make sure you pop in to your local participating butcher or retailer to grab your free copy.”
