Dalziel gives behind the scenes look at the UK butchery industry

Dalziel is to launch a series of films which go behind the scenes of the UK’s retail butchery industry. 

Called ‘Proud to be a Butcher’, the five short films will be broadcast online every Monday starting on 3 August 2015 and feature the nation’s highest quality craft butchers.

Starring butchers Icarus Hines, Simpsons, Fields of Anlaby, Hanley & Swinbank and F Doncaster, the individual films will be available to view at www.dalziel.co.uk/proud-to-be-a-butcher and on Dalziel Ltd’s YouTube channel.

Each film shows interviews with individual butchers who talk candidly about their business and how they work with Dalziel as a supplier of particular product ranges.

Dalziel’s retail butchery sales director Danny Upson said: “The idea behind the films is very much about promoting good ideas in retail butchery and sharing best practice. 

“We wanted to share their passion, their drive, their inspiration and their Ideas to succeed in the independent butchery industry.”

He explained that as part of the promotion of Dalziel’s product range, there is occasional filming of particular products, seasonings and flavours, sauces, packaging and machinery used by some of the company’s leading and trusted customers.

“More importantly we found the general chat with particular customers captivating.  Their pride, work ethic and determination to succeed shone through.

“We simply aim to share that sentiment with what we believe is a wonderful industry of skilled and committed customers.

“We hope that butchers will be very interested in watching them and will want to watch more.  If they are successful we will produce them on a regular basis.”

The films were created by Dalziel in partnership with film producers Solo Creative.
