G N Badley & Sons supports local catering school
Shropshire butcher’s G N Badley & Sons is helping trainee chefs by supporting the nearby National Hospitality School.
The butcher will be supplying all the meat needed – including mincemeat, joints and steaks – for the new kitchen training facility based at New College Telford.
Operations director Kay Badley said: “As soon as the training kitchens were developed at the college, we knew we wanted to be the business to supply the meat.
“We have great local customers who rave about our service and I want potential chefs and caterers of the future to know how important it is to get the best-quality meat for the industry.
“Trainees can learn quickly about the benefits of using local suppliers and also the importance of using a butcher you can rely on.”
Chloe Wright, marketing coordinator at New College Telford, said: “Supporting local business is at the heart of the National Hospitality School. We tailor the courses we offer to what experts in the industry tell us they need, so it makes sense to further this community support by including suppliers in the vision.
“G N Badley & Sons offers a top-quality product and it’s nice to see our students developing their skills using it.”
