We Hae Meat nominated for Scottish Business Award
Ayrshire meat company We Hae Meat has been nominated for a Scottish Business Award in the Family Business of the Year category.
Launched in 2007, We Hae Meat is a multi-award winning, family-run farm and butchery business based in Girvan, south-west Scotland.
Founded and managed by husband and wife team Alex and Carlyn Paton, We Hae Meat operates from a purpose built, SALSA-approved facility on Cairnhill farm, which has been farmed by the Paton family for four generations.
Earlier this year, We Hae Meat rolled out its single-portion Scotch pie range to 62 Asda stores across Scotland, as well as announcing a tripling of the size of its site in Ayrshire, creating jobs for 15 people.
The company aims to supply quality produce from their family farm to customers’ family tables, full traceability, from the rearing of cattle to butchering and manufacturing.
Sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, the 2015 Scottish Business Awards event will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on 12 November. The event will be addressed by actor George Clooney and hosted by comedian Rob Brydon.
