Butcher closes after 90 years
After nearly a century in the industry, AG Dennis Family Butcher, in Wanstead, London, has closed its doors for the final time.
“We regret to announce that AG Dennis Limited has ceased trading,” said a statement on the butcher’s shop website and social media account.
“We would like to thank all of our friends and clients for their many years of loyal custom and support. It has been our pleasure to serve the community of Wanstead for over 90 years and it is with the deepest regret that we have closed our doors for the last time.”
It is not clear why the business has closed. AG Dennis was unavailable for comment at the time this article was posted online.
The independent retailer announced its 90th anniversary on Twitter last September:
