The new-season lamb will be on sale for the next six weeks at all 67 Scottish Aldi stories through its current fresh lamb range, all of which is 100% Scotch and PGI-certified.

Marion MacCormick, buying director for Aldi in Scotland, said: “Aldi only stocks 100% Scotch Lamb in Scottish stores and this new-season range is an example of the product at its peak. Stocking our shelves with quality Scottish produce is one of Aldi’s top priorities and, by sourcing the finest fresh meat from farmers in Scotland, we’re able to support the industry while getting great food and drink into shoppers’ baskets at the best possible prices.”

The new season range, supplied by Scotbeef and on sale under Aldi’s Nature’s Glen brand, includes:

Allan Bowie, president of NFU Scotland, said: “Aldi’s commitment to promoting Scottish is welcomed by NFU Scotland. It is our ambition to see Scottish produce celebrated and ensure that Scottish agriculture maintains a strong recognition for quality and provenance.

"Retailers like Aldi who provide their customers with quality Scottish farmed meat, like the new-season lamb, are important in broadcasting our message to shoppers across Scotland.”
