Bells Food Group predicts festive spike in sales

Scottish pastries company Bells Food Group is expecting sales of its Festive Steak Pie range to benefit from Christmas sales, with sales forecasts to peak at £2.5 million. 

To meet demand, the Shotts-based firm has taken on an additional 20 members of staff over the festive period.

“We’re incredibly proud of our steak pies and we’ve been baking them at the factory in Shotts for 85 years, so we know a thing or two about what makes the perfect steak pie,” said John Bell, chairman of the Bells Food Group.

“Enjoying a steak pie during the festivities and at New Year is a lovely way for friends and families to get together and enjoy a delicious hearty meal, and as our pies are ready to bake in the oven, we do all the hard work for you. We bake more than a million steak pies every year and we are anticipating additional sales this month, so stock up as you prepare to bring in the bells.”

Bells’ steak pies are produced using slowly braised steak, topped with special puff pastry. Its larger Festive Steak Pies come in 1.1kg or 1.7kg sizes.
